5 Steps to Happiness

No one wants to be unhappy. And you know what? I believe happiness is a choice. Here’s a guide to a having a happy, love drenched life!

1. NEGATIVE THOUGHTS? EEEK. DELETE.

Whatever negativity that is, just delete it. Learn to control what goes on in your head. Your greatest hindrance to happiness could very well be just your own over-thinking head. Next time you are blocked by insecurity? DELETE. Angst? DELETE. Fear? DELETE. Paranoia? DELETE.

2. ONLY SPEAK WORDS OF KINDNESS AND LOVE.

Here you are trying to find your happiness, so why not start by giving it out first? When we say something bad about something or someone, it is usually rooted from a past hurt. Attempting to overcome painful memories by potentially hurting someone else, is not the way to go. What good is it to cause someone another painful memory? Always put yourself in the shoes of the other. Now, how would you want to be talked to? Please, think before you talk.

3. YOU ARE NOT IN A COMPETITION.

As you scroll down through Facebook, you will encounter a lot of your beautiful, rich, successful, living-the-life friends. And what do you do? You start comparing yourself to them and eventually feel bad. You have been created by God the way you are now so don’t ever feel bad about being you. Sure you may think a lot of people are a notch better than you, but remember that no one else can be a better you than yourself.

4. ME TIME IS NOT A WASTE OF TIME.

Reminder: ME TIME SHOULD NOT BE DONE ALL THE TIME

I don’t know how you define a perfect day, but for me it’s waking up to the cold morning breeze, while I cuddle with my bed. It’s taking my time, having a one-on-one with God. It’s going around, just taking beautiful pictures. It’s sitting somewhere nice, people watching with a Starbucks Green Tea Cream in hand. Take time to just be you; the relaxed, smiling version, free of deadlines you. Feed yourself with inspiration. Treat yourself. You deserve it.

5. OWN YOUR DREAMS.

Don’t let anyone take your dream away from you. God placed your goals, your dreams in your heart for a reason. Hold on to it and work for it. There’s nothing worse than living a life with no passion and drive for anything. Remember that fear and discouragement are attacks from the enemy. It is your responsibility to fight for your success that will surely come.

Hope this helped! That’s it for now!

Love,

Eulaivi
